second generation of the red army faction

After the capture of the original leadership of the Red Army Faction–the so-called Baader-Meinhof Gang–in the summer of 1972, it appeared that the struggle against homegrown leftist terrorism had been won.
But a new generation of terrorists, many coming from the proto-terrorist group the Socialist Patients Collective, filled the vacuum, becoming the Second Generation of the RAF.
The names listed here are people who became associated with the group after the arrest of the leadership of the RAF in the summer of 1972. Many of these members came from the Socialist Patients Collective.
